Music for Visuals

Service Policy

Real Composition creates original music composed to support the emotion, pacing, identity and story of your visual production. Pricing Standard composition begins at $350 CAD per finished minute of music, with a $700 CAD minimum project fee. Final pricing depends on composition length, musical complexity, instrumentation, production requirements and project usage. Live musicians, extensive orchestration, unusual sound design and other third-party costs are quoted separately. Advertising, episodic television, games and copyright buyouts require custom quotes. Deposit & Payment A 50% non-refundable deposit confirms the booking and begins production. The remaining 50% is due after approval and before delivery of final un-watermarked files. Work exceeding the approved scope requires written approval and may incur additional fees. Composition & Revisions Pricing is based on the total duration of original music delivered. Two revision rounds per cue are included. Major creative changes, additional cues or revisions requested after approval are billed separately. Picture Lock Clients must provide the most current locked or near-locked visual cut, creative brief and relevant references. Re-editing the picture after scoring begins may require additional composition fees and delivery time. Delivery Projects requiring up to five minutes of music are normally delivered within 7–14 business days after the deposit and required materials are received. Larger projects receive a custom schedule. Rush work is subject to availability and an additional fee. Rights & Usage Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Real Composition retains copyright, publishing and ownership of the original composition and master recording. The client receives a worldwide, perpetual synchronization and master-use licence for the named production and its direct promotion. Separate reuse, resale, soundtrack exploitation or transfer to another production requires permission. Where applicable, the client agrees to provide accurate production and cue-sheet information so performance and reproduction royalties can be properly administered. Promise Real Composition will deliver original music created specifically for the approved visual project and creative direction. Creative satisfaction is pursued through consultation and included revisions; specific commercial, festival, audience or distribution results cannot be guaranteed.
